Charming colonial-style shops and elegant cafés and restaurants have made Parnell Village one of Auckland's most popular attractions. Many of the smaller boutique shops specialise in selling locally made art and crafts, with items ranging from designer jewellery and clothing to painting and sculpture. These creations come from talented designers and artists whose work, by international standards, represents good value.
Auckland city centre and waterfront is 1.5km away, an easy 25 minute walk. Auckland Cathedral, museum and Newmarket are 10 minutes away on foot. The Vector Arena is 15 minutes on foot. Alternatively frequent public transport can be found right outside the door of the Parnell Inn, with the 'LINK' bus, the Explorer Bus' and 'Stagecoach' buses providing access to all of Auckland. |
